What 2-What I have leared

I learned how powerful the filters menu is and how to use things like clouds along with using gradients to specifically change them. We watched a bunch of videos which i guess what a learning experience but a lot of peeps seemed stressed. This week i learned how to make a star field but in the end i couldn't get it to flare out like the one in the video or anyone's in class. Also i found out how to make a star looking thing with one of the kelby videos. I am pretty excited about starting to make my own book and doing what i want with it.

Week one what I have learned.

I learned that you could make a gradient circular and easily change the colors. I am not really in to lens flares they seem  a bit boring. I also learned what dissolve does when using a gradient and it can make a really cool effect. On Wednesday I looked at an artist on deviantart.com that had a bunch of awesome digital art pictures using different textures.  They had a lot of detail of a cool texture to them as well.

Selection Tools

This one was made with the lasso tool. It is good for fine detail and probably the best over all if you have a lot of time on your hands.

This one was made with the majjic wand tool. It really didn't turn out well it would work better if the colors were more defined and didn't blend so much.










This one was made with the magnetic lasso. It works the best for selecting contrasted thing quickly and it seems to work pretty well.
4th one: Quick select worked ok but still cut his foot off made it look a lot easier in the tutorial.
5th one: elliptical marquee tool: good for cutting things out and placing them i guess but is pretty crude to detail outline stuff
