I think that your stripes in the background are super cool, and the fact that you colored in some of them makes me like your poster even more. and I like it quite a bit, from the fact that you have an elephant as a diver, to the colors in the waves (that to me, look like flames, and that's even cooler) and I also like the colors of your bubbles.
the background you used is really cool. I like how you start out with lines that cross each other then you go to just plain straight up and down lines. adding lines that have color in some lines helps to make it stand out. The elephant is also a very nice touch to make it different. it is a very awesome poster :)
i really like the elephant but i would have put a different color because it looks really close to the color of the 'wave' but other than that i think the colors are awesome and the background is really cool!
Your background is nice :) The way the stripes vary and then there is the slight variance with the random color and diagonals that tie it all together and really add a dramatic effect. Next time though, I would stick with the swirls, because that was our assignment, then try something like this on your own :) Other than that, the poster's layout seems to be fine, but I would change some colors to make sure everything goes together okay.
